The region of Dibra extends in the northeast of Albania, bordering North Macedonia. Its capital is the city of Peshkopi, situated along the banks of the Black Drin river. Dibra is located on both sides of the Black Drin valley, bordered to the east by the Korab mountain range and to the west by the Lura mountain range, 185 km from the capital Tirana. Near Peshkopi lies the highest mountain in Albania, Mount Korab, with an altitude of 2,751 meters above sea level, part of the Korab-Koritnik National Park, one of Albania’s most beautiful tourist destinations.
